Current Position:

Full Professor (continuing),

Director, Satellite Positioning for Atmosphere, Climate and Environment (SPACE) Research Centre

Head, Satellite Positioning and Navigation (SPAN) Laboratory

School of Mathematical and Geospatial Sciences, RMIT University, Melbourne Australia

Areas of Expertise:Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), geodesy, surveying and geomatics.

Career Highlights

ØOver 500 publications including ~350 refereed papers (~75 SCI), 200+ for invited presentations;

ØCo-inventor of ~8 national and international patents/patent lodgements;

ØChief/Chair/Principal investigators of numerous national and international competitive grants, consultancy and T&L research projects, supervision of 50+ research scholars (post-doctoral and research students);

ØExtensive R&D, T&L, fieldwork and supervision experience; being an excellent team leader/player and 30+ year’s experience in theory, algorithm and innovative applications of GNSS/geodesy/surveying/geomatics;

ØNumerous awards, prizes and recognitions in research, scholarships, publications and T&L;

ØInstrumental in driving various major initiatives and successfully lead large international teams involving leading scientists from US, Europe, Asia and Australia, over $20m funding attracted (in collaboration with others) since 2000;
